A few days ago I heard about Steem.Camp that's happening in Germany in August. It is literally a camping event. I'm hearing rumours that Steemfest will be in the US this year and I doubt I'll be able to get to that, but I expect some people from around Europe could get to this.

I could take a camper van there to spend a few days with some Steemians. I'm making enquiries with some Brits who might be interested in a ride down there, but I'm not looking to share my bed ;) There's a rideshare channel on their Discord. I'll post there if I have a spare seat.
So far it looks like only a couple of people have booked, but maybe that's because others don't know about it. Let's spread the word.
Tickets are 60 Steem plus camping fees. It's not going to be like Steemfest with endless free food and drinks, but it's a much cheaper option if you can get there.
I'd be taking some musical instruments if anyone wants to jam.

I know you sent me a PM about this, but I only just got back from Sunderland. It's likely I'll be going, but not 100% as I'm unsure about my work situation for August.
How many seats/beds does this vehicle house?
Will it get us there without breaking down?

It is a VW, but a much more modern one. It has 3 seats and a double bed that I'm not looking to share. I can supply a small or large tent. It even has a toilet and shower, but I'm assuming the site has these facilities.
I don't think we need to book immediately, but probably need to decided in the next few weeks to get sorted at work.
ahh that's to bad. That weekend I am in Belgium for the Belgium Gran Prix together with my brother... Would have loved to go, I like campings a lot and in combination with meeting Steemit friends, that would be awesome.. :(

This would be really cool! I can't imagine how much it would be to get my rig across the ocean though! Maybe I will just have to wait and try to make it to something in the States.

The ideas of camping are always great and what better to do with a group of steemians, but this only organizes it Steem.camp or can I organize a camp in my country?
Anyone can organise an event. Even Steemfest was not organised by Steemit Inc. Make it happen!
