We've all seen those shady websites selling you success...
"I made 40k from the comfort of my own home" etc...
Here's one I was expecting to see surface sooner or later...
On-selling Steemit.com as a package, with bots and all!
Even tried launching it via Steemit, scored a @dantheman upvote, then got crushed by a @ned flag! I would have loved to have commentated on that one!

But, they let it go, and fully launched...
Holding webinars on it and how you can also do the same!
@ 1:13:00, just one of the few possible concerns. Who's sleeping kid is that, it's not his?
Coz Capitalism, right?
They even have their own elite rocket chatroom and facebook groups for cross-promotion. You buy their package, and they pretty much guarantee you success via these mediums...

And here's a "sneak peak" of one of their bots in action
This team is led by a group of very smart and savvy marketers who have been doing this for a long time, with various products and levels of success...
I've included a few links to show examples of marketing techniques like these that I'm seeing be used to profiteer off Steemit in the worst of ways, and the funny part is these pages also hardsell in your face too!
Here
and
Here
This isn't normally my thing, so granted I'm not very good at it, but I know a fox when I smell one...
Let me know what you think, and pass this link around hard to get the word out!
And a big UP to my friend @klye for presenting me with this artwork hot off the press on demand!
Thanks for reading,

@dantheman account was in support of this project but then @ned came in and smoked it with a flag tag.. Be interesting to know what the reasoning is behind that was. Either of you guys care to weigh in on this?
edit: Visited that site... LOL - It's only a matter of time before its a pop up ad I feel. -_-
It is not a form of marketing that I either enjoy or that works on me. But it is NOT a scam and the "scam" tag on this post is abusive.
And, that type of marketing obviously works on many people or they would not do it.
Yes you're right, definitely a bit of an aggressive use of the tag, just wanted this to become widely known fast, and how better to do that? I will certainly try to use my tags more effectively in future. If I could change it, I would...
My apologies, I never intended to misinform : /
The marketing is what it is but I do consider schemes which attempt to manipulate voting or unfairly extract payments from the reward pool (as I strongly suspect to be the case when something like "upvote bots" is part of the mix), to be parasitic scams. They're maybe not scamming their own customers but they are scamming the Steem community and platform with this crap.
Upvoted Bob because of his good work in bringing sunlight on this and in part because of his use of the scam tag.
Keep up the good work Bob.
Thank you smooth.
I'm glad you feel the same about this. They are misusing the platform and completely missing the ideals behind it, which can possibly affect the longevity of the platform, so it worries me. I think this should be commonly known and outcast, but that's just my 2c.
Thank you for your ongoing support, I appreciate it and look forward to creating more content for you all :)
That is true. Love to know the decision making around that one.
"Visited that site... LOL - It's only a matter of time before its a pop up ad I feel. -_-"
Why? Was it shady?
You know those ads that pop up when your onporn sites that are trying to sell you the secret to making money.. and do it in a way that just feels like it's overhyped bullshit?
Yeah, Me neither! ;)
Upvoted for OP artwork
<3 smooth.
Haha, like yeah.. me neither!!!
I like it Bob, you smell a fox, I smell a rat!!! :0)
It was bound to happen. A package with bots lol wtf ?
Bomb ass art work from @klye
Why is anyone surprised of this? I'm actually wondering what took them so long .
On the other hand, we could use some policing like this. Bob for sheriff!
...and @klye for slightly untalented, yet useful sketch artist.
