It's 15% of what was underpaid not what was under taxed, right? 40% is a conservative estimate on the tax bracket for a million dollars, so it's more like $958,718 * 0.4 * 0.15 which is $57523.08. It's still a lot of cheddar, but about 1/3 what you're promising.
