Free trade policies have led to the decline of manufacturing industries, with millions of jobs lost.
This is categorically incorrect. When you mention the media not mentioning a lot of things, it is best not to buy into what they mention.
A quick search would have yielded you this and tons of articles like it.
What replaced the manufacturing jobs is automation. Technology was implemented...the jobs were lost. That is the fact that you need to start with since it is only going to get worse.
As for the other stuff, relax. While you are correct on most points, there is a lot going on that isnt talked about. Technology, more specifically, those that fall under the laws of IT is spreading across the economy. And you do know what happens when something is under the laws of IT? Things deflate at a rate the Fed cant comprehend. 2% inflation? How about 17%-60% deflation. Wait until all those people buying a home today and putting a 30 year mortgage learn that their home values collapsed since houses will be 3D printed (contour manufacturing). Housing will be popped out in a matter of hours/days compared to weeks/months.
And finally, take a look at the longevity and bio-gen movement. You have a huge advantage. In 20 years, the stuff that is killing people today will be a distant memory. The older people you are complaining about...goners. They wont live long enough to get the benefits from the radical treatments which are forthcoming. That is the true inequality. Someone in their 20s will have another 100 to 150 years to live (and healthy active living, not bedridden).
