When trading on the exchanges notice the size of the bid and ask in terms of volume. A lot of times you will see very small orders not worth trading..... These are market manipulators trying to walk the market up or down with small orders at higher or lower than what the real market is. For example, a manipulator will do some of the following:
Churning: "When a trader places both buy and sell orders at about the same price. The increase in activity is intended to attract additional investors, and increase the price of that particular crypto."
Wash trade: "Selling and repurchasing the same altcoin for the purpose of generating activity and increasing the price".
Ramping : "Actions designed to artificially pump up the market price of coin to give the impression of voluminous trading, in order to make a quick profit."
Stay alert when buying crypto! Look for low volume orders..... find the the first order with large volume and take that price over the others as you entry or exit point in a cypto.
