RE: MY SCAM EXPERIENCE

in #scammers7 years ago

This was indeed an interesting story. The lesson is not to transfer airtime to someone you do not know.

It seems that many people who are victims of scams are greedy. The greed is what makes the scam a success. We don’t ask the questions that we should because the money is so big.

Dealing with complete strangers is dangerous, especially when they are an anonymous voice at the end of the phone.

Sort:

Our own case wasn't an issue of greed, we were just too excited to get something doing, that particular semester we didn't have much work load, so we could have combined our academics with work perfectly .

As friends that did everything together we were happy that the opportunity would strengthen our friendship more.

And then the most exciting of it all was the thought of being independent, paying our school fees by ourselves and supporting our parents. It really meant alot to us.

Rather than the word greed, i would say that we allowed over excitement to blind our thoughts, because if it was something we calmed down to think over, we would have discovered that something wasn't right about everything.

Later we also heard news about this particular scam meaning that we weren't the only victims.
