WHAT IS SCHIZOPHRENIA?
It is a disease of the brain that occurs during certain episodes and with tendencies towards chronicity.
It is characterized by a disorganization of cognitive functioning.
Schizophrenia is a mental illness, which affects thinking, emotions (affections), language, sensory perception and the daily life of the patient and their relatives.
It is a devastating disease whose intensity causes severe disability in the most productive age of the human being.
The majority of patients begin their condition between 15 and 35 years of age.
Although this is a chronic and incurable disease, it can be controlled with adequate pharmacological treatment.
Within the same negative symptoms, depression, difficulty expressing their affectivity to others, difficulty thinking and undesirable behavior are observed.
