Scholars, Scribes, our first contest/giveaway for Cryptoshots is complete and we are moving on to round two! We have another selection of PIMP, SCHOLAR, SCRIBE, and HSBI to give away over the course of this next contest so I hope we will see another solid collection of entries!
For those of you not super familiar with CryptoShots I'd like to introduce you to someone:
This is TeknoPolly!
He is an epic character NFT that can currently be won in the CryptoShots Discord by interacting with the Discord Bot version of himself! He can also be bought on WAX and provides a variety of benefits to players of the CryptoShots discord game and the 3d browser game too!
I honestly expected some of the entries for the first round of our lore contest to include him in one way or another but since they didn't I've decided our next round of our Lore writing should be focused on him.
This time we are going to do things a little differently! Let's take TeknoPolly on an adventure!
This giveaway will be in a "Write Your Own Adventure" Format. I'll be writing a short piece below that begins Polly's storyline.
Continue it in the comments in under 250 words and then tag two people you think might like to continue on from where you left off. With a variety of people entering we could end up taking him on quite an adventure!
I'll be distributing SCHOLAR and PIMP to all commentors that follow the entry requirements and the longest continuous story will receive a bonus of SCRIBE and HSBI for every writer that contributed to it!
I am also tagging the entrants of our last CryptoShots giveaway and a couple of others that are usually up for this kind of thing!
Remember the only rules are to continue the story and the comment must be under 250 words!
I will distribute the prizes once the timer on this post has run down in 7 days.

Reboot Initiated- Damage Detected- Corrupted Memory Unit. ERROR. Reboot Initiated.... Damage Detected- Corrupted Memory Unit... ERROR
The messages filled Polly's visual fields and overwhelmed its processors. It routed the messages to audio output, clearing it's sensors and detecting nothing but darkness.
"DAMAGE DETECTED- CORRUPT MEMORY UNIT. ERROR."
Polly could hear itself blaring the messages into the darkness... until... Light... Then...
"What is that?"
"Look! It's some kind of robot... a bird model I think. Where did it come from?"
"I don't know, leave it there, it's trash! Listen to it, it's malfunctioning anyway."
"It might be worth something, I can probably fix it."
Two humanoids in exosuits came into focus as Polly's sensors adjusted to the added light.
"DAMAGE DETECTED- CORRUPT MEMORY UNIT. ERROR. MISSION FAILED."
"Mission? Wonder what it's doing all the way out here?"
Polly struggled to move away as the humanoid reached for it and picked it up. It's steel and carbon fiber wings feebly flapping in protest.
"Here's the problem, someone's shot it with a laser pistol. It's memory's been burned out by the shot. I can't fix it's memory, but two minutes in the shop and everything else will work fine. Told you."
"Fine then Damson, bring it back to the ship. Not like we found anything else worthwhile on this wreck anyway."
"DAMAGE DETECTED- CORRUPT MEMORY UNIT. ERROR."
"You better be able to shut that damn thing up Damson..."

“It is impossible to turn it off!”
“No way! What is going on right now, Damson?”
Polly started transmitting a hologram from its red eyes. It looked like a recording, a message with many background noises:
"Hel... We are at ... coordinates 5680... they will... us."
Then the hologram shut off and Polly stopped moving with lots of smoke coming from its head.
"Well my friend Crimson, I don't know what the heck he was talking about it. We still need to fix it."
" For God, Damson, go on then."
"Ok give me some space then."
Crimson exited the room and Damson started to work into Polly. After a while:
"AHA, I just had to connect some circuits for sure it is going to work, let's see if it goes online."
"PSSSSS SQUAWK, TeknoPolly version 6532 presenting to your highness."
"What? What are you talking about? I don't know any king or queen around here."
"SQUAWK ! SQUAWK! I have been kidnapped! Starting process of self-destruction. "
"SH.... I need to turn it off again before that. "
While Polly was shut down, Damson yelled:
"Crimson come over now, the freaking parrot is working again."
"So why is it off?"
"It was going into a self-destruction code after he couldn't find a certain your highness"
" Oh no, Damson! Do you know what it means?"

"Whaddya mean what it means, you dolt! This is clearly another one of those Please-Help-Me collectible droids that're produced by the Church of the Jedi to celebrate their 10,000th anniversary! They're an epic waste of resources, that's what they are!" said Damson disapprovingly.
"It sure looks nothing like one of those collectibles though, they're usually a dome shaped cannister droid aren't they?" queried Crimson skeptically.
"Who knows what those money crazy lunatics came up with this time round to squeeze every last penny from their gullible followers? As if Space Wizards could actually exist thousands of years ago. If that were so, they certainly wouldn't have needed donations would they?"
"I'm telling ya, this feels different. And if you think otherwise, surely it couldn't hurt to let it go ahead with the threat of self destruction. If you're right, nothing will probably happen at all."
"I'm NOT going to risk the chance of any explosion while we're out here in the middle of nowhere in space, light years away from the nearest trading outpost. Someone's idea of a practical joke could have dire consequences! Start using your brain for a bit won't you Crimson!"
Crimson sighed as he went through Damson's logic. An object that was both harmless and dangerous at the same time was just what his friend liked to portray everything in life as. Maybe he'd just flip on the switch while his friend inevitably droned on and on. As Damson turned his back to Crimson while his conversation had deviated to espousing how dangerous birds could be...
A flick of the switch on the robotic bird...
"...destruction in 3... 2... 1... " Crimson winced as he prepared for the unknown consequences.

"Aborting self destruct." said the little metal parrot, as it slowly got to its feet.
"That's more like it... Now how can we help you?" asked Crimson, as he wiped a bead of sweat off his forehead.
"Take this unit to the Calavar Castle, and deliver immediately to King Dawandizar." squawked the metallic voice.
