Studying is an important aspect of anybody's school career. It is what will make (or break) your G.P.A. In order to achieve maximum results in school, one must study and do it well. Here are my top three tips for studying.
3. Stay organized
Even if you take thorough notes and highlight your material, it won't help if your notes are messy or misplaced. To stay organized I like to keep track of my assignments in chronological order, that way, when I have to take notes I can find everything quickly and easily.
2. Set up a study space
Find an area of your home to use as a designated study space. Be sure to have whatever you need in this area, along with an absence of distraction. For example, if you use your phone to check the time, but tend to get distracted with it, be sure to have a clock in your study space and to leave your phone in a separate room.
1. Create a study plan
The best tip to ensure your success on a test or an exam, is to devise a study plan. Allot an amount of time each day to study, until the day of the test. Write down (before-hand) what topics you will cover and how you will practice the material. This method is very helpful, as it allows you to use whichever techniques you deem to be beneficial.
