RE: Really Big Sunflowers and the Birds - Saving Sunflower Seeds for Human Consumption

in #schoolofminnows7 years ago

Resteemed this stunning post! Sunflowers are my favourite. I love the happy colour. They are a majestic flower but they are also food. Like herbs I love multi functional. But I didn't know this: "You can even use sunflowers to clean up toxic heavy metal contaminants and poisonous chemicals in the soil." Thanks for such informative content (and fun) content. That first photo is a winner

Thank you for the resteem! Isn't it just so awesome that sunflowers can do so much! I normally don't think of it as food even though I know every part of a sunflower is edible right down to the stem. I just like saving these little facts for a rainy day.

And you never know who reads this and will one day be able to use that information. I wonder if you can use sunflowers somehow in doing an actual metal detox for yourself. You know, like with herbs, clays etc

No idea, but good question though. I know eating cilantro is a great way to do a detox from heavy metal.

Cilantro is one of the best. I think the cilantro tincture is probably the most potent. I'm going to try to find out about the sunflowers

Let me know what you find out please
