In the US I see the moon in the sky during the day a lot. I've never heard of the moon being absent from the sky in Australia at night. I understand Australia also sees the moon in the daytime sky and it has never been absent from the night time sky here.

I'm sure it's a true statement that from any contenent the moon is visible during the day and has never been absent at night.

How is the moon visible on essentially opposite sides of a ball at the same time?
