Though the slimming products are not necessarily safe. Some slimming products are found to contain a compound called amphetamine. Amphetamine is a compound that is quite commonly found in slimming products that claim the product is free of harmful compounds. At first around the 1960s, amphetamines may be used freely to lose weight. Amphetamine suppresses appetite, controls weight, and stimulates the central nervous system and cardiovascular system. The resulting effects are mediated by increasing the synaptic concentrations of norepinephrine and dopamine by stimulating the release of neurotransmitters or inhibiting their removal. Amphetamine is a drug that can affect the central nervous system. Therefore, it is dangerous if used uncontrollably by health practitioners (doctors or pharmacists).

Since long time amphetamines have been used to treat psychiatric illnesses. Combined with other drugs, amphetamine is widely used to treat mental disorders, overcoming narcolepsy, depression, and other diseases related to drowsiness, fatigue, apathy, and Parkinson's.
Today, due to its harmful side effects (psychic disorders, elevated blood pressure, etc.) and most importantly, increasing the risk of dependence, amphetamines are rarely used.
Let's find out what amphetamine is!

This compound has the chemical name α-methylphenethylamine is a compound that has been used therapeutically to overcome obesity, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and narcolepsy. Amphetamine increases the release of catecholamines which leads to the number of monoamine-type neurotransmitters (dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin) of the pre-synaptic nerve increased. Amphetamine has many stimulant effects including increased activity and passion, decreases fatigue, improves mood, increases concentration, suppresses appetite, and decreases desire to sleep. However, in a state of overdose, these effects become excessive. For example, communication turns into gabbing, and pathological circumstantial speech, etc. Clinically, amphetamine effects are very similar to cocaine, but amphetamines have a longer half-life than cocaine (half-life of amphetamine 10-15 hours) and duration that gives euphoric effect 4-8 times longer than cocaine.

When you stop taking these drugs, your demand for food and sleep appears again. This is because the stimulators activate the "reserve powers" in the human body and when the effects of amphetamines weaken, the body gives a "signal" that the body needs them again. According to ICD-10 (The International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems), mental and behavioral disorders caused by amphetamines are classified into F15 groups. Amphetamine causes psychological dependence.
Short-term effects of amphetamines:
- Increase body temperature
- Damage to the cardiovascular system
- Paranoia
- Increases heart rate
- Increase blood pressure
- Being hyperactive
- Reduces drowsiness
- Lowering your appetite
- Euphoria
- Dry mouth
- Dilated pupils
- Nausea
- Headache
- Changes in sexual behavior
- Tremor
Abuse of amphetamines in a long period of time or with high doses can lead to many problems including:
- Psychosis (the mind becomes unreal, far from reality)
- Psychological disorders and behavior
- Headache
- Mood or mental changes
- Difficulty breathing
- Lack of nutrients
- Mental disorders
Effects on the central nervous system: In acute poisoning situations, amphetamine users generally feel euphoria, anxiety, agitation, and excessive anxiety. Approximately 5 - 12% of users experience hallucinations, suicidal, and confusion. As many as 3% of amphetamine users experience seizures.
Well, you (who want to use thin way instant) better be careful in using slimming drugs. You better do exercise or choose healthy diet. Love your body, love yourself!

Hello. Good day to you. How do we know those slimming product contain amphetamine?
I don't know about that @phooisean...

There are of course more holistic ways to lose the stubborn weight. I just wish people did their research and knew more about it.
I think this would be just as attractive to men as women :)
I really don't think it's a great idea to treat weight loss like this, but people do need more education and general support in their weight loss :D
