Our world is full of majestic phenomenas, a lot of them have been explained and another are still mysterious. understanding what is going on around us is not just for knowledge that we can't deny the comfortable and happiness caused by it. there are more advantages and all lead to how to treat with our world and make a civilization.
Thunder is one of the most interesting phenomena with loud voice and bright light, it look like a terrifying monster, i think all of us want to escape under blanket when this phenomena occur, by the way it is the right way to deal with that monster at the first, and by time they found a way to deal with that monster but keep in mind he is not fully controlled, let us know how.

Thunder is an electric charges which move through the air in form of light generating heating which make a vibration between the air molecular due to temperature difference.
These electric charges pass through conductor better than the air as air is dielectric so we see above building tower or in a region where we must make sure that the thunder shouldn't reach they put skewer of metal which catch the thunder and pass it directly to deep in earth with out making light or sound during this Passage.
Actually the light and the sound are occur at the same time, but we see the light first and it takes a while to hear the sound this because this action occur at sofar distance from us, and due to different speed between light which is 299 792 458 m / s and speed of sound which is 343 m/s, we see first then hear.
