To complete my degree course of Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering Technology, this semester I am taking a subject of environmental engineering lab 2 or waste water lab, in which this subject train me how the process of determining the important parameters of waste water effluent like the total coliform.
Total coliform are bacteria that are mostly found in soil and water that has been influence or affect by animal or human waste. The oldest method use to determine the total coliform of the waste water is the Multiple Tube Fermentation Technique(MTFT).
So why do we need to determine the total coliform in waste water? We need to determine the total coliform or any parameters of the waste water especially where the final effluent of a certain company discharge their waste so that we can assure that the community living at that particular area are safe.
