I used to have to live by an alarm clock schedule. 4pm-mid, 4pm-mid, 8am-4pm, 8am-4pm, then one mid-8am. After two weeks it started to get hard to figure out what day it was, and forget about making plans, because that first week you started the work week on a Monday, then the next week on a Sunday, always back the work week up by a day. They finally after 6 months, and tons of overtime because of people being sick, stopped that whacky schedule.

At least they stopped, geez
Shift work can be a tricky thing, it does become somewhat addictive after awhile, and makes working a normal 9-5 type job pretty hard. I got very used to having Tuesdays and Wednesdays off. I loved those days off, There just are not that many people out and a bout on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but then trying to get friends to go camping or to enjoy a couple days or even a trip to the bar was not an easy thing to do. SO don't get used to shift work, it really sucks for a social life and a family life.
What's a day off? 😅
