RE: Psychopaths prefer a small amount of money?

in #science7 years ago

A psychopath is either made or born (we don't really know) who has their empathy center of their brain burnt out.

A psychopath is constantly remaking themselves. They have to be perfect. So, that murder they committed? It was done by someone else, in their mind.
This also means, that there is no future. Putting off for future reward has no meaning. Literally.

The picture above is not a good picture for noticing a psychopath.
A psychopath is anything but that. There is no wild and crazy look in their eyes. They don't look like they are up to mischief.

If they go for murder it is cold and methodical. To their mind it is all perfectly rational. And there is no reason why they shouldn't do it. No remorse. There is, of course, the chance of getting caught. But that often adds a sense or realness to the situation. A psychopath may choose to not murder someone because it would have serious detriments to their current plans.

A psychopath, to us empathic people, often look very rational and in charge of their emotions. They look and act like pillars of the community. And often work hard to get into such positions. It is only when something should cause them to show emotion and none is forthcoming that empathic people get a clue that something may be wrong. (like they will laugh at a funeral)
