The Big Bang is not the only theory about the origin of the Universe, nor the only one accepted.
You have never left Planet Earth and, nevertheless, you trust that it is round. You have never seen a neuron in your life, but you assure that it exists. At no time have you witnessed an atom but you know that matter is made of it. Why? Because they taught it to you at school.
And it's okay, just imagine living in a constant skepticism where you do not believe in absolutely anything, it would be impossible to take a step to get out of bed. However, there are certain ideas that are not correct and it's time for you to know now:
"The sun is yellow"
From the Earth the sun seems to be yellow. We have this illusion for light filters; however, from outer space it appears visibly as white. Actually, the sun is a mixture of colors so there is no objectivity according to its appearance.
«Cell waves cause cancer»
A few years ago, the belief that phone waves caused cancer was an idea as widespread as feared. People felt obliged to limit the use of cell phones "only for the urgent" and now. However, to date there is no scientific experiment to prove it.
«The Chinese Wall is seen from space»
For years it has been said that the Chinese Wall is the only human construction that is visible from space, however, this is not the case. According to NASA data, it is impossible to identify where this huge structure is from the Moon.
«Lightning does not fall twice in the same place»
Lie. Lightning can fall in the same place. Even, do it at the same time. There are many myths related to natural geophysical phenomena and the rays abound much more, giving it even esoteric connotations. But no, there are still mysteries about its operation.
«The Big Bang is the only theory about the origin of the Universe»
Absolutely it is, and there is no completely unappealable confirmation of this hypothesis. This ensures that at some "moment" there was a cosmic outburst that released a large amount of mass and energy from which, everything began. However, there are other theories that see in this a serious error: how and where did the explosion if there was "nothing"? Nobody knows.
As you can see, there are things that we take for granted because the authority figures once told us that it was like that. However, we must maintain a critical stance before events that do not fully inform us; have your eyes and mind wide open to discard old ideas about the Universe and see it with a much more real perspective.
Thank you @coral22 i could punch my science teacher in the face right now
