In this video I look into some research papers on aging and longevity and discuss my take on them. Some of them have been published just recently.

Then, I also talk about a few strategies known to have an impact on healthy lifespan. And I'm not talking about miracle pills (which I believe they'll find their place at a later point in the future), but I'm discussing about strategies like fasting, intermittent fasting, and caloric restriction.

These strategies, while not pleasant or convenient to many people, do not come attached with a financial cost. You don't have to pay anything to skip a meal. In fact, over the long term you might save some good money, as well, as well as some + points to your health and longevity.

I do believe in intermittent fasting. Now that I am traveling for a while it will be even more easy and cost effective as you said.

I found it a good idea and I will try to do it ( intermittent fasting )thank you my friend for your great information

I will look for the paper, but eating significantly less also increases longevity. A group of people living in a mountainous area in Asia I think were studie because of their high average life span. The conclusion was the small amount they eat. I personally also believe that those in higher areas, where less oxygen is in the air, will also have a longer life span. Oxygen is actually also harmful to the human cell. I always wanted to do a study on this.

Oxygen is essential. The way that it acts and the likelihood of creating reactive oxygen species is just part of life.

I know, but oxygen is harmfull and the amount of oxygen levels vary with elevation, so much so that even track records cannot be broken at sea level, or at places with too high of an elevation.

In 2 articles Referenced below my points are validated:

Oxygen can break down the very cells that make up our tissues and organs, our bones and even blood. It can damage DNA and critical enzymes (used for protein synthesis). It can injure and rigidify our cell membranes, making the movement of nutrients in and out of cells more harder. It could ruin our receptors for various hormones including testosterone (yep!), insulin, and thyroid.

This process of damaging the cell is similar to the way metal rusts and an apple core turns brown. The process is called cess oxidation or oxidative stress.

Seems like an article in Nature (one of the most reputable journals in science) has the same idea, but they haven't taken my angle of elevation and oxygen levels in the atmosphere into consideration. Still want to do my study:

"Oxidative stress, is intricately connected to ageing and life span."

Not oxygen. It's a myth. They are helpful for athlete training. But not for longevity. People live in high mountain region don't necessary live longer, if they don't have a healthy diet. Also 7th day Adventist who are vegan and live in colder climate still live longer.

I want to add something new to your work. Beside yours one of the reason of slowing ages and birth of new diseases is the excessive use of technology. You may be wondering how? Let me elaborate!! We humans are producing indefinite number and types of signals. Signals are in form of electomegnatic waves and radio waves which are infecting and destroying our tissues producing many diseases.

havent heard about that so far.

This is really purifying if done right... Resteemed!

Life can extend because autophagy is the fountain of youth. And autophagy are induced by either fasting or low protein diet. That's why vegan people look younger and live longer and all the blue zone people are eating low protein diet.

The traditional Okinawan diet are mainly sweet potato, rice and all kinds of vegetable. Very little meat and fish. Those are all reserve for special occasions.

It's always predominately plant-based diet allow human to live the longest.

Therefore by adding animal products to your regular diets, it will negate the result of your fasting effort. Many keto diet promoters have sudden deaths with heart related conditions, it is well known fact from news.

Ketosis can easily achieve by early morning fasted cardio or prolong fasting. Using diet to achieve ketosis is a suicide mission.
