Figures don't lie. But, liars figure. You can dazzle your audience with a myriad of data and charts. If your audience is not astute (and most times they are not), you can fool them every time.
You can even fool yourself.
If you assume the position of an advocate, you automatically ignore contrary evidence that contradicts what you want to prove. You are not objective and cannot detect your own errors. Not a reliable witness.
