If aliens in a galaxy 65 million light years away are looking at us through a telescope right now, then they are looking at dinosaurs. The distance light travels in one year is called a light year. This means that the galaxy 65 million light years away will have the light reaching them which was reflected of the Earth's surface 65 million years ago and as 65 million years ago there were dinosaurs on Earth, they will be looking at dinosaurs.

Sun Disappear.jpg

Light takes roughly 8 minutes to travel from the Sun to Earth. This means if sun suddenly disappeared, we would still see it in the sky for the next 8 minutes.

Sky Full of Ghosts.jpg

Tiny stars we see in the night are as big as the Sun, some even bigger. Imagine how far they are that they appear to us as tiny dots. Some of these stars are millions of light years away. By the time the light from these stars reach us, they are already dead. For these stars, we only see their ghosts. Our sky is full of ghosts.
