The male brain is better made for engineering. More for people with high functioning autism like asperger's. 75% of those diagnosed with autism are men.
There are some women great at tech. But so much of "we have to hire more of [this and that]" is becoming dangerous to companies as they are more concerned about marketing than about operating a business or merit-not to mention it has fueled the alt right since many of them entered into that movement having been discriminated against because [or they perceive it to be that ] they are white males.
Disney pretty much destroyed everything good about nerd culture-especially with that last star wars fiasco. The Job of Management is to increase shareholder value, certainly Target's CEO failed by allowing male predators into the ladies room harmed market value. And identity politics has made the tech giants
extremely vulnerable in banning the ideas of up to a third of their userbase as they play the politics game. These Companies are going to bleed themselves death drunk on their existing hegemony if they don't smarten up as the smaller players will replace them.
One producer screams racism because no one is watching his movie : a wrinkle in time with oprah Winfrey? The wrinkle in time sucked as a book-and no amount of talent of any race or gender could save a movie based upon it. I wonder what that producer says about Blank Panther and its box office success. If the only highlight of a product is the alleged social responsibility of a product, then it filled no need or want. The market is saturated in socially responsible products and marketing and it is time to focus more on the consumers and delivering quality products.
