INTRODUCTION:
To go up and down on foot you have to go up by a work called staircase, a staircase is a set of steps that any person can climb on so on until you reach the desired level whether it's a building floor or a higher level of land or climb on a footbridge .......... etc.
In this course, you will be able to talk about the different types of stairs on the stairs and what are the minimum requirements for designing a staircase.
Individual family or public, ordinary or electric rolling there are several types of stairs according to the nature the utility the esthetic aspect as well as the comfort.
- The first thing we need to know to make a staircase is the size and the space of the ground intended for the staircase because it is variable according to the height to be crossed because if the number of steps is important automatically the surface used for the staircase is large.
EXAMPLE OF DESIGN:
- We have a surface destined for the staircase of 3 meters to drop and 4 meters in length to reach a floor level of 3.40 m.
fig 03: conception escalier.
- Here is as shown in the picture above a simple design of a staircase to have a clearer idea we have 3.4 m height means if we take the height of the walk equal 17 cm (it's the value the most used in stair step heights seen the ease and comfort Nb: we can use a value less than 17 cm if it's possible) so we need 20 against 17 cm steps to climb juqu'a 3.40 m and for a walking width of 30 cm we have a design similar to that of the drawing shown above.
THE REST BEARING
The rest stop is a floor slab for the user's rest of the stairs after climbing to a height set by the designer, and it is depending on the space always used.
So the designer is always in front of parametric very important to master in order to design a staircase the height space and comfort of the user and finally the aesthetic appearance.
