6 Graphics to see that we live in the best time in the history of Homo Sapiens.

Even if sometimes it doesn't seem so, we live in the best time of our history. Here are some examples: Never before have there been so few illiterate people, so little infant mortality, so many people living under a democracy, so few people in extreme poverty...

what about the opiate crisis? what about flu shots/medications that have side effects that are worst than your actual ailment? What about Famine and world hunger. There are still poverty stricken neighborhoods and although these graphs give us an insight on how far we have came as a people, we have a lot of more work to do. These problems i speak of are the more serious problems.

I mean there are still serious problems, however there is no denying that the average standard of living has risen.
For simplicity think of europe or the USA: 100 Years ago hardly anyone could afford an automobile or horses. To get to places you had to go on foot. About 150 years ago the light bulb was invented. Try reading with candle light and you will appreciate electricity even more.

Thats just two examples, i didn't mention aviation, the steam engine, windows, mirrors, ...

With great power comes great responsibility as well. We invent new things and don't rely on things that were put here for humans in the first place. I agree with you on that point but their are some dumb humans out here. So on that note we can agree to disagree.

We have a lot of good going on and a lot of bad. Case closed.

We live in a process, nothing is never enough! I also hate how you assume democracy to be good. I'm all for voting sytem, but that is as relevant statement as saying in the middle age that most people live under monarchy is good.

Thanks for the positive update, Gonzalo. We truly live in an age of abundance and it will only get better over time as we overcome problems by getting to the root issues and strive to become better in all aspects of Earthly life.
