Numerous unusual findings including temples, structures, and artifacts in recent years have to suggest that advanced civilizations thrived on the planet Earth much earlier than historians and archaeologists had once supposed. There now appears to be an erosion in the once rock-hard consensus that human civilizations did not form on the Earth until approximately 12,000 years ago. One of the archaeologists making waves in this debate is Dr. Alexander Koltypin, a geologist, and director of the Natural Science Research Center at Moscow’s International Independent University of Ecology and Politology. Dr. Koltypin has dedicated much of his career to the investigation and excavation of numerous ancient monoliths, with a particular emphasis on underground chambers and tunnels. In the course of his explorations, he has uncovered a monumentally large labyrinthine network of tunnels under the Earth stretching all the way from the Middle East to the Mediterranean. According to Dr. Koltypin, it is entirely possible that these underground chambers, which bear the clear hallmarks of being carved by intelligent hands as opposed to natural processes, formed the base for a huge, interconnected ancient society. But the most astonishing thing about these chambers, according to Dr. Koltypin, is that the rock erosion in their immediate proximity that they were formed at least half a million years ago. “When we examined the constructions… none of us never for a moment had doubt that they are much older than the ruins of the Canaanite, Philistine, Hebraic, Roman, Byzantine, and other cities and settlements that are placed on it and around, ” he said. Dr. Koltypin is dedicated to understanding more about this intriguing glimpse into a highly ancient society but concedes that it is very difficult to tease out many details about what kind of culture the people who lived there would have experienced. Working backward from the Judeo-Christian faith of the people who later inhabited the land above the caverns he says that he presumes that the people were sun-worshippers, but naturally, this is only educated conjecture.

too bad there are no links.
Yeah, this is the same dr. Koltypin that claimed 12 million year old cart tracks. It makes for nice headlines, but shouldn't really be posted in with a 'science' tag.
