You are an athlete right? I also love running and want to upgrade myself for long distance can you suggest some do's and dont's thank you
I run but I don't know if I would consider myself an athlete :D
Do's: Start out slow, especially for long distance. Start out with a shorter route and run at a slower pace then you think you should. Build your self up slowly from this point, maintain the slower pace and slowly add distance. Once you get your self up to a longer distance, start upping your pace and slowly improve your time. It really depends on what sort of distances you are aiming for!
Don't be afraid to sleep, and also to eat! Distance running puts a lot of wear and tear on the body, so you need a good amount of rest and definitely a good amount of food to repair yourself. If you find your self cramping on your runs.. either you are dehydrated or you are over doing it! Its okay to take a few steps back and shorten your runs and slow your pace back a bit for a while. Its really easy to get ahead of your self, its something that I constantly do when I am trying to push myself to do better. Push too hard and you will end up hurting your self and be out of commission for a while, its way better to ease up and not be hurt!
Thank you very much. I've recently completed two half marathons and aiming for 42km but it seems impossible. I found a guy with similar intrest on steemit @justtryme90
If you are already at half marathon, then you are going for longer distances then me! You already know everything I could tell you!
Thank you very much, It's nice to know views of persons I don't consider myself a athlete. But I love running
Thats how I feel about it too, there's just something about running that really allows me to clear my mind.
The feeling comes after a run is Extraordinary.
