Like everyone in this community has heard of the Aesop's fables ! Right ?  Taking this into the topic , it's my entry to the #suesascience challenge #2. As this post include the basics on everything related to science, technology, education, politics and even more.  Everyone has heard of the stories of the fabled describing how a small tortoise wins or defeats the hare in a race of a speed. This story had a moral saying " Slow and Steady Wins the Race" . Taking this into a matter, I will be recalling this the old sayings and bring it forward the facts that this saying is no more valid a moral and notion. Now, In this Present World,  there is no more option for staying slow. The world has become a place without the slowpokes. This proves happens to be created accidentally in my view. The way it's applied has often made harmful rather than helpful.

Yes, There is no way that one can win a race if he is slow or even if the steadiest  ! In fact, No one wants to be left behind for being such a slow. Ongoing researches and the past inventions had a common , i.e killing the time and reduce the distance as fast as possible. .

This challenging situations and various mindset of the peoples have given a rise of saying to the new concept, i.e." Quick and Steady wins the Race" or " Fast and furious wins the Race" .

From the beginning, our life just starts with the race. Whether getting admission in the school or the colleges , there will be no ending point to the races in our life. And if we lose or fail in the race, the outcomes becomes unforgiving. The consequences makes a drastic turn in the life. There is no mercy to the failures in the present world rather for those who fail and lag behind one's future, goals and objectives. It seem to get beyond the reach of the person. This shatters the dreams and fall apart. For failure, there will be no one for you to stop because, life is a race and no one will be willing to stop and compromise their positions for the sake of yours.

Speed along with the endurance and steadiness is a must. No manufacturer wants a machine printing 200 pages in one hour and 20 articles in the other rest remaining hour. He would certainly prefer the machine printing 80 pages in each working hour.

Speed along with the steadiness is equal to the beauty with the brain. Without steadiness, there will be no consistency in the life. Speed and flexibility are also equally important for the one's survival in the race of life. Absence of these two essential toolkit, there will be no chance that he/she will be surviving even a single day in the world.

Accordingly, steady is important in the contest as well. Saying this all, there are some examples. Without the proper speed and accuracy or say consistency, it is impossible for a venture for surviving in the market places. With the firm and strict competition going, there is completely no margin for the errors to occur. Even one wrong step or the slow step to the plans is a direct failure. The efforts goes down the streamline getting nothing in return except the regrets .Conclusively, the making of slow decision can also be compared with the loss of opportunity and time.

Everyone can witness the ongoing market places having toughest competitions. The game is becoming much stronger  and many hundreds are crawling up everyday .No one wishes to leave their position  as it's the survival of fittest. To keep up on this competition, the starters just don't need a consistency or a steadiness , the need to go one a high jet speed pace to reach to the competitor levels.

So at the end of the day, it is the quick and steady who wins the race. The game of Slow and steady in no longer valid anymore. So better buckle up and fasten your seat belts to move it faster and steadier to win the race.

This is all for today . Hope to meet you on other blogs too.

With love,

khatisam4

be quick or be dead

Haha ... nice one brother !

Life is a race. If we dont run fast, we will get trampled.
Indeed true!!

First you must define the race that you are talking about and what the goal of that race involves ;)

I was a long distance runner in High School and I can tell you that running my race was a lot different than the way that the boys running the 100 meter races ran in their events. Imagine trying to run a marathon at sprinter pace!

What I consider to be a winning life is far different from what most people in the world would consider a prize winning effort. That is because the majority of people think of winning purely from a materialistic viewpoint. But the prize that I have striven for is true love, lasting peace, contentment, hope for the future, and the feeling of accomplishment. I have found all of these things without having to live fast or furious, nor have I always been accurate as I'm a man prone to mistakes and miscalculations. But I believe that I have lived life well by putting others first and desiring all the best for the people that I know and interrelate with in life. When we put others first it is then that we are rewarded with the things that truly have meaning and that are more than some momentary medal or trophy that is soon forgotten.

So my advice to everyone is to define your race and set your goals accordingly. But make sure that those goals are what is really best for you and that it includes things that have value that can not be quantified materialistically.

What a lovely perspective, @deaconlee. I admit, I probably like it because I share it. Your comment that goals should include "things that have value that can not be quantified materialistically" (like seeing beauty, enjoying nature, experiencing love and joy, keeping our families safe, staying healthy, being happy - for starters) is the basis for true sustainability. When the language of value goes beyond financial and material vocabulary, then we have more ways to connect with each other and to respect our natural surroundings because we are conscious of intrinsic, but probably unquantifiable, value.

Thank you @kiligirl, I hope that you understand that I was in no way trying to down this good blog . My intention was to simply point out another perspective and a slightly different outlook for what might be considered "winning." We are all playing the game, but how we score it can be vastly different. Of course my position is biased because I have never had many things of materialistic value lol.

Same here, @deaconlee! I was (and am still) under the impression that @khatisam4 was trying to get discussion going on the topic, and I think he raised some interesting and valid points.

My perspective, like yours, is also biased, towards a balance of "capitals" (financial, manufactured, intellectual, human, social and natural). Flat out financial winning can lead to a lack of balance in the flows between those capitals, if we consider that under our current economic and financial systems, financial capital enables trade between those stocks of capitals.

On a more personal note, moving from Canada to South Africa twenty years ago was very much influenced by a desire for a life driven by more than material factors. 😊😊

Awesome move into a totally different environment and culture, and you seem very balanced so it must be working out well for you! :)

Thanks, @deaconlee, that's a great compliment and an especially good way to start a Friday morning! For me, it's simply about feeling "home". Perhaps because we moved from England to Canada just before I turned 6, those feelings of home were looking for somewhere to land, although I do love Canada and identify as Canadian (among other affiliations). 😊😊

Thanks @dropahead

I have a sayings also.. " from all the hard work SUCCESS is coming all you need to do is to TRUST"

: :) :

Yes, ma'am .. Trust is there in the other half !

My reply to @deaconlee notwithstanding, this was a fun post, @khatisam4 - I enjoyed the images, especially the one from The Office. Thanks for getting us talking about this! 😊😊

Thanks for the compliment ma'am, but this saying should be topic to be discussed ! Thanks for the view and leaving a comment !

It's all about perspective and the situation. Fast and furious gets most people
altitude sickness climbing Kilimanjaro, while pole pole (slowly slowly) gets you to the summit. Taking the time to be authentic and make human connections on Steemit might take longer than signing up for upvote schemes, but in the end the value of a genuine Steemit network will be greater. I agree it's an important topic to discuss! 😊😊
