RE: Natural Killers

Nice illustration !!! :D Really lovely gif
Chemical biology XDD yeah !!
btw is there some localization for the red dye?

Sort:

and red for the NKs (here the granules collected the dye)

Not sure what you mean? The granules take up the dye, because their interior is relatively acidic, while the dye is slightly basic.

Actually I am not too sure what is granules (I thought granules is small particulates? but you said it is something with enzyme?)
Sounds like lysosome ? or it is not an organelle

Cytolytic lymphocytes contain specialized lytic granules whose secretion during cell-mediated cytolysis results in target cell death. Using serial section EM of RNK-16, a natural killer cell line, we show that there are structurally distinct types of granules. Each type is composed of varying proportions of a dense core domain and a multivesicular cortical domain. The dense core domains contain secretory proteins thought to play a role in cytolysis, including cytolysin and chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan. In contrast, the multivesicular domains contain lysosomal proteins

Haha i see~
Still got a long way for me to learn biology lol
