The Truth is Out There

Hello my Steemian friends,

The new X-Files season will be airing today, that's why this post is dedicated to this glory tv series.

Science fiction books and films introduce us as "beings from another world" but new research suggests that extraterrestrial "neighbors" may have more to do with our world than we thought. Source

In a published study in the International Journal of Astrobiology, scientists at Oxford University show for the first time how Darwin's theory can be used to support assumptions about alien beings and to better understand their behavior.

According to the researchers, the extraterrestrial life will have a complex cellular organization, just like humans, and will be under the influence of natural selection.

Under the name Darwin's aliens, the theory advocated indicates that alien life forms are subjected to natural selection and, like us, have evolved to become stronger and adapt to surrounding conditions over time.
"Like human beings, we envisage that [the extraterrestrials] are made up of a hierarchy of entities, which collaborate to produce an alien being," argue researchers.

Moreover, they admit that they can not yet say whether or not we are alone, "but we have taken a small step to the answer, if we are not alone, to predict what our neighbors will be like."

Well, it’s also possible that the Aliens do exist and they’ll conquer us. Well, personally I’ll stick with the first option.
