Are Antiperspirants Harmful?

in #science2 years ago

I heard it's had a lot of difficulty gaining any form of traction outside of conspiracy circles.
Current associations between aluminium and commonly used body products containing it (such as aluminium chlorohydrate common in deodorants and anti-perspirants) have found no convincing associations with certain diseases purported such as Alzheimer's and breast cancer being the common two I've heard about.
I did a bit of reading on it and related information out of personal curiosity one day when reading the back of an anti-perspirant can.
Though in foundry worker situations, I suppose I haven't read on that to be honest.
It appears non-carcinogenic in all forms at least, in terms of aluminium foundry workers and their exposure to metals. But I'll have to read more to confirm and learn dat shizzle my nizzle.
