Indonesia is known for its diversity of flora and fauna. Some animals that are in Indonesia, not necessarily exist in other countries. One of them is a snake. These reptiles are known to be dangerous, venomous or non-venomous.
There have been many victims of snake bites, including a snake charmer though. Although tame, but the instinct of snakes to prey and attack still exist. Some snakes that developed in Indonesia are also known to be very dangerous and quite large.

Python reticulatus (Python reticulatus)
Giant pythons are found in Mamuju Tengah, South Sulawesi. This snake weighs 158 kilograms, even bigger than the villagers. According to locals, the snake is often found in oil palm plantations. In 2011, giant python snakes were also found around people with a length of nearly nine meters.
Snake Nabau
In addition to Piton, Nabau snake also became the largest in Indonesia. Snake Nabau is found in many areas of Borneo and has a length of about 80 meters.
Nabau-headed dragon and has seven nostrils is believed the public as a mystical creature. In addition, people often see large snakes in rivers in Kalimantan.
The Red Head Snake
Scattered in Bangka, Sumatra, Java, Billiton, Borneo, red head snake so one of the most venomous snakes in Indonesia. Can be neurotoxic strong when attacking the nervous system. As a result, humans or their prey will die if not handled.
The red head snake is also a rare species that inhabits lowland forests, hills and low mountain areas below 900 meters altitude, this rarity is rarely to be found near human habitation. The lower body is pale white. The head is somewhat bluntly different from the body, and its eyes are relatively small.
Anang or King Cobra
King cobras are also from Indonesia. This snake is spread in Sumatra, Java, Sulawesi, Kalimantan, Bangka, Bali, Mentawai Islands and Riau Islands. The length of this snake reaches about 6 meters, and becomes the largest venomous snake in the world. A bite from this snake can cause death if it is not handled quickly. This snake has a shy nature and prefer to avoid with humans.
This intelligent snake can be found in a variety of habitats such as pure forests, mangrove forests, agricultural land, rice fields and settlement environments up to 2000 meters, where Kobra hunts its main prey namely other snakes, especially rats. King Cobra or Ophiophagus has the meaning of 'snake eaters. Although primarily prey on snakes, he will also prey on small lizards and lizards.
