Drink is one of the activities that everyone does. Because all living things need to drink because the body needs fluids.

Fluids are useful for refreshing the throat, adding oxygen, eliminating toxins, and energy sources for the body. However, when drinking a lot of people do not pay attention adab.

In Islam itself is very emphasized to follow adab drinking good and true as exemplified Rasulullah Shalallahu 'Alaihi wa Sallam during his life. The goal, certainly not merely worship, but there is an element of goodness for health when done.

When they want to eat and drink, the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) always read the prayer. What is the prayer that is read? He always read basmalah. Even if you forget to read Bismillah, then read "Bismillahi Awwa-lahu wa Akhirahu" which artnya with the name of God from beginning to end. (Abu Dawud and Attirmidhi).

In addition there are also, things that are prohibited when drinking. That is not blowing and inhaling. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) also forbade drinking from a vessel (container or teapot). According to the hadith, the Messenger of Allaah alaihi wa Sallam said,

If one of you is drinking do not breathe in a glass, and if one of you urinates, do not hold his dzakar with his right hand, if cleaning do not clean with his right hand. (Narrated by Bukhari: 5630).

The most important thing when drinking is drinking with your right hand. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) ate and drank with his right hand. Narrated by Ibn Umar r.a, the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said,

If one of you eats, then eat with your right hand, and if he drinks, then drink with his right hand, because the demon actually eats and drinks with his left hand. (Muslim: 2020).

Last is closing drinks. From Jabir ra, the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Close your door, call on the name of Allah, turn off the light and call on the name of Allah, tighten (cover) your drink and call the name of Allah, cover your bears and name Allah, even though you cover it with something which is not the lid). "(Narrated Bukhari: 3280 and Muslim: 2012).
