Or vice-versa.
LOL - you are right .. it is vice versa: clockwise in the south and anti-clockwise in the north. I think the answer lies in the fact that north and south are actually part of a major conspiracy. There is no north and south, see ;-) Drains are all designed to work differently. They are sort of 'region-locked' so that water appears to drain differently. I bet if you took a sink from the south, smuggled it through customs and used it up north, we'd have the answer. Just don't get caught.
My first comment was meant to suggest that the Coriolis effect is bullshit, and I've worked with enough sinks, tubs and toilets to know it.
Maybe your observations are caused by whatever you're smoking then.
Have you taken a look at the cyclonic activity in the southern hemisphere recently (have you ever seen a weather system moving in a clockwise direction off the coast of north America)? If sinks don't convince you, I guess you don't believe in weather phenomenon? Perhaps the meteorological data are all part of the conspiracy too?
Perhaps.
Perhaps conspiracy? You chaps are unbelievably foolish. Sorry, I don't mean to insult you - i just really hope one day you get an education. You can see two videos made by regular guys to explain it to you here
What is unbelievably foolish is to quickly categorize a person after 29 words on one topic.
