LEGEND STYLE SHAMBHALA- THE ANCIENT HISTORY OF THE WORLD

in #science7 years ago

Shambhala, which is a word from Sanskrit meaning "peaceful place" or "place of silence". It is a mythical paradise spoken of in ancient texts, including the Kalachakra Tantra and the ancient books of the Zhang Zhung culture that preceded Tibetan Buddhism in western Tibet. According to legend, in this land only the pure heart can live, the place where love and wisdom and where people are immune to suffering and old age.

Shambhala is said to be the land of a thousand names, or the Forbidden Land, the Land of the White Water, the Land of the Radiant Spirits, the Land of Life Fire, the Land of the Gods of Life and the Land of Wonders. Hinduism calls it Aryavartha, the Chinese call it the Hsi Tien, the Western Heaven of Hsi Wang Mu; Russia calls it Belovoyde. Almost all areas of Asia refer to Shambhala as Shangri-la.

The legend of Shambhala is said to have originated thousands of years ago and is derived from those in various ancient texts. Bon's belief in Tibet mentions that the land of Shmabhala is closely related to Olmolungring. Hindu texts such as Vishnu Purana mention Shambhala as the birthplace of Kalki, the last incarnation of Lord Vishnu who will usher in the new Golden Age. The Buddhist myth states that Shambhala is an adaptation of Hindu myth before. However, the text that first discusses Shambhala extensively is Kalachakra.

Kalachakra refers to complex and sophisticated esoteric teachings as well as practices in Tibetan Buddhism. Shakyamuni Buddha is said to have taught Kalachakra at the request of King Suchandra Shambhala.

The concept of Shambhala plays an important role in Tibetan religious teachings, and has particular relevance in Tibetan mythology about the future. Kalachakra prophesies that the gradual destruction of man as the ideology of materialism spreads over the earth. When the barbarians who follow this bad ideology unite under an evil king and think to conquer the snowy mountains of Shambhala. The barbarians will attack Shambhala with a great army equipped with terrible weapons. Then the king of Shambhala will emerge from Shambhala with a great army to defeat "dark forces" and usher in the Golden Age around the world.

Over the centuries, many explorers and seekers of spiritual wisdom have embarked on an expedition to find the paradise of Shambhala myth, and while many claim to have found it but there is no evidence of its existence or can determine its physical location on the map, they say Shambhala is in the Eurasian mountains.

The ancient text of Zhang Zhung identifies Shambhala with the Sutlej Valley in Punjab or Himachal Pradesh in India. The Mongols identified Shambhala as being in a certain valley in southern Siberia. The Altai people's story believes that Mount Belukha is the gateway to Shambhala. Modern Buddhist scholars seem to conclude that Shambhala lies in the higher reach of the Himalayas in what is now called the Dhauladhar Mountains around Mcleodganj. Some legends say that the entrance to Shambhala is hidden inside an abandoned monastery in Tibet and guarded by a creature known as Wali Shambhala.

For some facts that Shambhala has never been found to have a very simple explanation - many believe that Shambhala lies on the edge of physical reality, between the bridges that connect this world with other worlds. While many believe that Shambhala as a fantastic subject of myth and legend.
