Now I don't feel so bad for not finishing my bottle of Omega-3 capsules.

I always suspected this answer actually.

Maybe the purported benefits are due to people's dietary habits surrounding omega-3.

If you eat a lot of fish that means you are eating fewer sugars and carbs and this might make your overall health better.
