Water Turns into Gold due to Earthquakes?

A new study says the earthquake could turn water into gold. It's like stories from science fiction books. But this incident really happened. The content of gold has been stored in the bowels of the earth for billions of years, and humans search with the help of seismic waves. However, the occurrence of an earthquake has rocked the rocks of gold. Splitting the rocks into pieces, and allowing some parts to evaporate into a liquid. According to the New Scientist Journal, geologists have long known that gold is formed from a mineral rich in water content.

The mineral flows underground as a result of earthquake cracks, then merges with the gold content. This latest study shows that changes in pressure caused by earthquakes have helped the mineral flow to rock cracks beneath the earth's bowels.

According to Dion Weatherley, a geophysicist at the University of Queensland in Australia, who was head of the study, using several models, the researchers were able to determine the quantitative mechanisms linking gold and minerals.

"Earthquakes have opened many loopholes in the bowels of the earth, then from the gap it appears that gold is evaporating. In the end the mineral flows in the gap and has brought the gold content," said Weatherley, quoted by Science World Repor.

He explains, mineral liquids rich in gold content that can quickly become solids. It happens because the temperature drop is so fast. "Air pressure has made the liquid evaporate and leave a gold," he explained. Gold formed from mineral liquid after the earthquake is not so much.

Most of the fluid carries one of a million precious elements. "However, the earthquake zone in the Alpine Fault in New Zealand has managed to build a gold mine for 100,000 years," closed Weatherley. The study was published on March 17, 2013 in the journal Nature Geoscience under the title Flash Vaporization during Earthquakes Evidenced by Gold Deposits.
