What is scientific method?
This is my first topic in my grade 7 science class and I must admit my students feel difficulty about it. But I made it sure that they can still learn in any possible way.
The learning objectives are the following:
1.Define scientific method.
- Enumerate the steps of scientific method.
- Recognize the importance of scientific method in solving a problem.
Scientific method refers to a set of procedures that scientists follow in order to solve a problem or to gain knowledge or inventions.
Steps of scientific method:
1.Identify the problem
2.Formulate hypothesis-Hypothesis refers to possible solutions to problems
3.Test the hypothesis through experimentation
4.Observe and gather data
5.Interpret data
6.Make a conclusion
7.Communicate results
Why is scientific method important?
Scientific method is important not only for scientist but also for every person since it will serve as their guide to come up with an appropriat solution to the problem.
In everyday life, we are faced with challenges and or problems we can use scientific method in solving it.
