I watched a video this morning about Betelgeuse the red supergiant star in Orion. For anyone that isn't aware, it's the bright one in the upper lefthand corner (at least that's it appears on a flat plane looking up at it). Betelgeuse is dying- it's estimated that it's used up about 90-95% of its lifespan... and I don't know why, but for some strange meaning it makes me sad- although it will be there for a long time after I'm dead and buried.
Stars have a lifespan like humans and as they pass the "brightness" phase they begin to expand in size. Betelgeuse is estimated to be approx. 1.4 Billion Km. in diameter... in other words, if it were in the Sun's location, it would take up enough of the solar system to reach Jupiter. The video is fascinating, but in light of the "Climate Change" fraud, it makes me question the veracity of the study (Hell- I question everything). Much of the scientific calculations and projections are done using supercomputers and, as we all know, computers (even super ones) are only as good as the information programmed in to them. If you program conjecture and speculation into a supercomputer- you get superconjecture and superspeculation out (GIGA). Anyway, it's an interesting video to watch and you decide for yourself about the veracity of the science.

I love the Orion belt and always ponder when looking at the stars. I agree, it is hard to know what is truth these days, but I just don't hold on to the info as much as how I feel inside about the cosmos. It's all good either way, it's what make of it. Have a great day.
Thanks... and I agree about the info! They can only program what they know into computers.
Wow, interesting I remember learning about Beetle Juice at school as a kid! You do well to question varacity!
The tip off was one of the "scientific investigators" going to a rack of books and picking one at random pretending to look interested!
Thank you for an interesting video.
Thank you... I don't know how much is real though!
Damn when that supernova happens the sky is gonna be lit! Supernovas can give out more energy (in the form of light) than entire galaxies for the short period of time that they exist. So a star as massive as Betelgeuse going Supernova would definitely be visible with the naked eye!
I think we've got a few million years to wait.
Climate change is real. 99% of ALL scientists agree. But seriously only one matters; Bill Nye the Science Guy! This dude knows his stuff.
It's not really Climate change, its Consciousness change. Things in the solar system are heating up because of exotic particles. Mars, Venus, Neptune all planets in the solar system exhibit an increase in temperature because of this.
The scientists and governments who blame cars or any other earthly activity for climate change are absolutely retarded.
It even affected the sun and turned from Yellow to White in the last 10 years. its a very obvious change.
We are heading into an ice age. Al Gore showed us so in his movie An Inconvenient Lie.
Bill Nye is a really good actor.
Go back to coloring!
Pretty much everything science has told or knows is wrong, they don't even know how the sun works let alone how it would die.
That is a really pretty work of fiction there.
Unfortunately observations of stars has disproven such silly notions as stars being nuclear powered balls of hydrogen which have a predetermined life span.
The electric universe model p0wns GR theory.
And my theory owns that one
Correct this is a Electric Universe :)
Wowwwww awesome video upvoted and resteemed 👽👍
oh please don't be sad about ol Betelgeuse. Stars are not nuclear they are electric discharges fed by Birkeland currents. Old Betel has a long life span ahead of him. www.thunderbolts.info
