Yes, they have a pretty peculiar shape. This is due to the way the canal system in the UK was built. They are narrow so they can pass each other in the canals and they are as long as can be since they were designed to carry cargo. So British water lorries :P

the boat I build (convert) will be 'about' the same width..but a WHOLE LOT shorter..
