Such an informative post, thanks for sharing! Really annoying to think how difficult it is for normal people to reach easily understandable information like "this drug suppresses a cough in the brain". I wish they would write things like that more clearly on the box, so that the patient could decide whether they want the medication or not. This would perhaps give rise to some other issues about the patient compliance with doctors' treatment methods, but it is clearly wrong to prescribe people medication they don't have a clue about how it works...
