The next little ice age Vol. 42
8.2 Earthquake, Hurricanes, Arctic ice.
September 8-2017
Good morning, afternoon, night depending on where the reader is.
We start with the sunspots as always.
The group of small-sized 2677 sunspots with Beta magnetic field is not dangerous.
The 2678 small size sunspot group with Alpha magnetic field is not dangerous.
The groups of sunspot 2679 and 2674 of small size also, Beta magnetic field, also are not dangerous.
Group 2676 is in the Limbic area and we will not talk about it anymore.
I left for the end the group of sunspots 2673. This group that I named as the star of the week, has become the star of the decade. This group of sunspots still maintains the Beta-Gamma-Delta magnetic field and that after having caused three solar flares one of them has been the largest one that has registered in the last 10 years. X9.3 solar flare. It has also been the 13th most powerful since there are records. As many of you know solar flares almost always occur at the same time as the CME. So we have had three CME's of the same group of sunspots within three days. This is more impressive considering that the sun showed signs of losing activity as far as sunspots are concerned.
Also considering we had 56 days without sunspots this year and suddenly we had up to six sets of sunspots in a week. Wow.

In addition to having the names of groups of sunspots we have in the lower right both the size of the Earth and the size of Jupiter. So we can get an idea of the enormous size of the groups of sunspots.

As for coronal holes we continue to observe that small coronal hole in the southern hemisphere and another larger coronal hole begins to appear in the northern hemisphere of the sun.

Despite the enormous amount of energy ejected by the already famous 2673 the magnetosphere is enduring these conditions.

Summary.
We are in conditions of space weather, storm. S1. Minor solar radiation storm. Although the arrival of the last of the CMEs is still expected. The conditions of the last 24 hours have been much worse. R 3, S 2, G 4. So we have had severe G4 geomagnetic storm. Radio Blackouts that have lasted more than an hour R3. And moderate solar radiation storms S2. The solar wind is at 800km / sec and the density of protons is 5 protons per cubic centimeter.

8.1 Earthquake.
There has been an earthquake of 8.2 south west of Mexico almost on the border with Guatemala has issued a tsunami warning. This earthquake is the strongest that has occurred in this region in the last century. So far we have to mourn 15 fatalities and numerous damages.
Thousands of people are without electricity. They have issued a notice to suspend classes in affected states. We have to remember that the alert is maintained for possible replicas that can reach level 5 in the M scale.
The M or Mw scale (Moment Magnitude) is used by seismologists to measure large earthquakes, was created in the 70's to succeed the Richter scale.
Hurricanes.
Hurricane Irma
We started talking about Irma since it has become the most powerful ever recorded in the Atlantic as I said yesterday. Although it seems that it has lost part of its dangerousness and has fallen to Category 4. What is good news for the inhabitants of Cuba that is the point where it is now. That's good news for the people of Florida as well. Its winds have dropped from 295 to 260 km / h.The balance that comes from the French islands is twenty fatalities. The material damages are so enormous that the governor of the Anguilla has recently declared that the island is in an uninhabitable state. St. Maarten has also had some damage that I can only qualify as catastrophic.
Hurricane Jose

From hurricane José we have to say that it has already become category 3 and that it is still far from populated areas and open to follow very closely.Although it seems that its trajectory passes by the same islands that have been debased with the passage of Irma. What a mess.
Hurricane Katia

This hurricane remains in category 1. It is expected to increase to category 2 and touch land in Veracruz late this day, local time.
According to Mexico's national civil protection coordinator, Luis Felipe Puente. The earth is already soaked by the last rains and any increase in precipitation will cause flooding and landslides.
Arctic ice
Finally and to stay with something positive in all this devastating news that are leaving us these hurricanes.

As you can see in the chart above the Arctic ice creation continues to increase.
If we expand the graph we can clearly see how there is more ice accumulated than in 2007 which leads us to have more ice accumulated than in the whole historical series.
Yes, you have read well. More ice accumulated than in the whole historical series. In the era of global warming. The data provided by the University of Bremem leave no room for doubt.
If it is the first time you read this blog and right now you do not know how this fact may be possible I recommend you read my previous post in which you will find scientific studies and hydrological studies that will help you better understand what is happening climatologically speaking.
Of course the authors of such studies are not famous like Al Gore and you will never see them on tv
I want to send a hug to all those people who have suffered, are suffering or will suffer the effects of the last natural disasters. I pray for you.
Enjoy your day.

I didn't know that they are so many hurricanes going on right now. What a disaster. Do you have any theories as to why or is it just normal for this time of the year? As you mention sunspots in every post, I still think you should mention why you mention them every time, for new readers. What is the connection between sunspots, solar flares and the ice age, and also to refresh our memories because it's so counter intuitive.
As for the number of hurricanes, there is a more intense hurricane season from time to time. Some climatologists relate it to cyclical periods like "el niño" and "la niña" . But there is no fact, rather it is a sum of many factors. I am going to make a small explanation of what the number of sunspots means and I will add it today. Thank you!
Your welcome. Just keep it as something regular, like the explanation of reading graphs so it will be easier to follow the general logic.
I need to find a pole shift tracking site to see if there was a jump before the quake happened. ;)
I have not checked, I still have work to do. But I am pretty sure that at least a few cents have been displaced. As we have seen in the rest of earthquakes of great magnitude.
Thank you for post.
Thank you very much.

Very sad...can't help the natural disaster..we can only join our hands and bow down before the almighty and pray for their safety..
From a distance we can only pray for them and hope that the number of victims will not continue to grow. Very sad, indeed.
Thanks for all the info on this post. I was shocked when I read about the earthquake as I had not hear about this in the news. Is there any more info on the pressure zone that @deanlogic had pointed out yesterday? (hope I said that right :)
Usually among the tools I use out of sheer curiosity are those of earthquakes. Here in Spain there is hardly any seismic risk. Yet it is a topic that seems very interesting to me. When there is one of these characteristics I usually talk about it. Actually yesterday's system there is not much to tell, it is rare to form in that area, it is still not the first time, it is going to go undoing north. Thank you.
