Think about how much natural resources go into producing paper fiat currency. This fact along is a very compelling reason to do away with physical notes and go with cryptocurrencies.
Few consider how environmentally unfriendly paper is....the amount of free water required for one sheet of paper is over 2 gallons.

You can imagine your own situations where are considering many different choices to get something you need. Today it has to fit into your budget but imagine only the utility and efficiency of what you need would be considered.
You would want high quality, efficient and durable solutions, not cheap stuff that you throw away in 2 weeks :)

Will attempt to answer both questions in my point of view through the lens of The Venus Project's global Resource Based Economy. The first, "What would Earth look like...?" To me humans would help it flush. Get rid of the red tide by oxygenation of the water and making the deserts green by digging canals from the ocean into them as the raising sea levels avoid densely populated areas. Basically helping ourselves and nature flush forever could be the idea. Second, "can we compare it to..." anything found now? Yes of course. Let's start with our body which Jacque Fresco points out many times on how this new updated system would work. All our organs are well taken care of. There is no community meeting and a twelves month study to determine whether an infection in our toe should get some help. It's an automatic system that goes to work right away. If it did then the infection will reach the knee. A cybenated society will be like our body. Everyone will be well taken care of, because we need as many minds as possible to undergo enormous improvements of life and an abundance of exciting lifestyle options, all because the end of spending nickels and dimes for research on human need transformed to an all out effort just how the US goes to war but to raise children with analytical skills, critical thinking skills and a firm understanding of natural processes. It's all so short-sighted. It almost seems like a race to destroy the Earth. We don't have anywhere else to go :(
Very true....the greed factor is causing us to destroy the air, water, and land.
The system is set up where the few who profit end up destroying it for all the rest of us. Not only are we enslaved financially but we are poisoned.
