Did you know that the "bang snaps" your kids and maybe even you play with 'snap' because of SILVER? Yep, novelty explosives such as the bang snaps contain tiny amounts of silver fulminate which detonates when compressed against a harder object. Silver fulminate actually is known to be a super detonator and can not be kept in quantities over a few milligrams as it has a tendency to detonate under its own weight.
