RE: Could a giant solar flare take out all cryptocurrency?

CME = Coronal Mass Ejections, one just missed Earth in 2004 ? I think from memory, twice in electricity history Earth has been hit...

One hundred and fity (150) years ago the United States was hit, telegraph lines shut down and could only be operated if the users disconnected the battery !!!

This means if the system was set to work normally it failed to function however once disconnected it sometimes worked !!! Of course the operator would have to think of trying this novel fix. Plus some places worked without problem since they were shut down at the time the " hit " landed and simply worked without being powered ' on ' ! ! !

About 25 years ago Earth was again hit by a solar storm of electrical particles ( CME ) however this landed on the West coast of Canada, since this zone has almost no one living in this Arctic tundra landscape it was irrelevant to try and assess the local disruption to modern electricity...

Simply Earth is going to get hit and when it does bye bye internet, the web will go dark for months at least, satellite will fry and be destroyed in space ! ! !

The entire Planet Earth is encircled by a very very long fiber-optic cable to speed up the internet, what will happen when all these systems interact and begin to distort each other . . .

Probably nothing good : )
