Education is one very important factor in one's life, because with education one can know and gain knowledge, so as to improve one's intelligence, skills, and can form a more intelligent and creative potential.

The placement of the first educational potential for children is the parents and the family environment, then the new stages of formal education, ranging from elementary school education, junior high school, high school and up to the stage of college.

But of all the curricula that have been established by the school, there is a very supportive curriculum in the character formation of children, namely the subjects ektrakurikuler. Because with extracurricular activities students can grow awareness of thinking, development of emotional intelligence, development of discipline, and various other self-development.

The types of extracurricular activities that are usually developed in schools include scientific work activities that support students to scientific and academic skills. Next include basic leadership exercises, youth red cross, Scouting, sports and arts talent, seminars and workshops with different angles of focus.

Character education towards students in school is necessary, even though the first stage of character formation of children is in the hands of parents and other families. If a child gets the best character education from parents and other families, then during the stages in character building at the school venue, he will be easily created with a variety of extracurricular activities in school.
