Quantum computing is not only a theoretical speculation, it's already here!
We already have the first quantum computers fully operating : they are built by a private company, D-Wave, and currently used by Google and NASA.

These machines are able to operate in different universes/dimensions, where they gather useful information and solutions for our own Universe.
Not only they are faster, more powerful computers, but they can solve problems that a traditional computer would never be able to.
- Artificial intelligence
- Financial market prediction
- Technological advancement
- Robotics and humanoids
- New scientific discoveries
Quantum computing - Artificial Intelligence is here
Conference, by Geordie Rose, Founder of D-Wave, the first company in the world that built the first quantum computers.
Quantum Computing and Cryptocurrencies
The problem with the current cryptography systems is that they would be vulnerable to this kind of computing. This would happen also to the traditional Credit Card payments.
In fact we currently use a public-key encryption algorithm called RSA.
Fortunately, we have a solution:
Cybersecurity in a post-quantum world - New encryption methods strengthen current cybersecurity efforts and establish a platform for the secure communication of quantum computers
And we already have

Final conclusions
I hope that the crypto scene will be able to technologically improve, to become part of this new scientific era. We must implement all solutions to keep our cryptography efficient and secure.
We all need quantum computing!
Today, only Governments and big Corporations can use these machines, but in the future, as it happened with traditional computers, everyone will be able to benefit from this technology.
Gonna have to read this after work and watch the video. I love this stuff
Thank you!
The video is not that long but really interesting
I think there's some controversy whether or not D-wave is legit quantum computer but I would agree we are on the verge of quantum computers becoming a reality. Maybe 2-3 years away. Will make RSA type encryption obsolete when it happens and the tech world will be scambling Y2K-style to patch everything with to-be nextgen encryption.
Great stuff you have here @andrew0
I hope that can be available for the public soon. But most likely it will be very expensive! :P
