I get the 'it gets in the box, or it gets the hose' parts, that is really an organizational flaw.
If you get far enough into the books, if what they say is true, then this behavior is rational.
A clear world, free of war, poverty, oppression, and insanity, is a noble goal, worthy of a few sacrifices, but the way I've seen some of this 'clearing' done, by church officials, is certified whacked, for sure.
The sad thing is that their methods are nullifying the good tech.
Nothing good can come from hate and discontent, imo.
You sound like someone who has been brainwashed. Especially when you tried to explain behavior that is obviously not rational.
It isn't technology. What them is tech to you?
See, you don't have a full grasp of the subject, you haven't read the books.
From what I know of your experience, as related by you, I wouldn't have anything for them people, either.
However, my experience is quite different, I have read the books, and have had many years to grok and apply their teachings.
The simple facts are, that had I not read those books, life would have been much tougher for me.
I used to be a jerk with no direction in life.
I fully agree that the current state of affairs in scientology, particularly in the org itself, is a sad one.
They are more intent on dominating enemies rather than interested in healing wrong think.
Instead of helping folks understand why their lives are less than optimal, they punish them for not complying.
That is unsustainable, imo.
I can't wait until the reality gets through to them.
A rotten root will always produce rotten fruit. L Ron Hubbard was a terrible person. What he produced has only harmed people. He hated black people. He broke the law and committed fraud and was convicted for it post mordom.
You need a new hero.
It should be easy for you see that Scientology destroys families and lies. Reading his material was exactly what I did in Scientology and also the Training Routines.
Yes, Ron must have been something.
The thing about genius is that it's ephemeral.
Ron violated his own rules.
Can't really expect continuing success that way.
While my route is not the only way for everybody, it is the only way for me.
It won't be changing.
I am a better person for having read the books.
I read the books that 'exposed' him, too.
What I learned from all that reading was that if you don't get it, studying harder isn't going to help.
At some point either you stop making poor choices, or you don't.
I'd be mad if I paid hundreds of dollars to learn that, but I read most of it in pdf from stss.nl.
If being nice and making good decisions is so important to you, wouldn't it be a better idea to follow Christ instead of man who exalted himself above God, made his own rules, then broke them?
Did you only read the books or did you participate in the TR Drills as I did?
No, no more christian narratives for me, thanks.
I made it onto some cans, but I just told the truth and didn't get any breakthroughs.
I don't think I passed the background check, and I was poor.
They mostly want rich squares, imo.
So, when confronted with an unfree world, the only rational response is to live so free that your very existence is an act of rebellion, and here I am.
I've been looking for close to two decades for somebody that can intelligently discuss the books, let alone run the auditor's part, so it has mostly been sitting dormant waiting for a helping hand in grokking the subject fully.
I met many Scientologists at Narconon. All of them had criminal records. I don't believe they gave you a background check.
So... your plan is to follow a dead criminal instead of Jesus (also convicted of a felony btw) and sit dormant. Doesn't sound angelic or like freedom to me man.
