Realistic art is a completely different challenge. I've tattooed scorpions before, some more traditional and some more brightly-colored and stylized. I even gave a 60 year old man a full color scorpion half sleeve for his first tattoo. But there has been an increase in realistic demand lately, especially with bugs and the like appearing to actually sit there on the skin. While this isn't my first rodeo, this was my first chance to try that "actually sitting there" look.
Frankly I'm proud despite the fact that I'm my own biggest critic and I will see all the flaws that others may never notice.
