Many moons ago, Steemians are getting hyped about SMTs and Communities to materialize.
Who wouldn't, right?
It will be a game changer since Steemit has gotten so diversed and it getting difficult to reach out to the other users who share the same interest as you are.
Although, Discord & Telegram has been really good for communities in terms of communication, having a way to do it in Steemit will be really awesome as well.
Few days ago, the Steem Engine team has officially launched SCOT & Scot-bot, an announcement about it breathe life to the SMTs.
Everything happened at a very fast pace, which started when Steem Engine was launched and the Steemians went hyped about creating their own tokens.
Not knowing about the next innovation to it, many created their tokens and made it useful and functional.
Some token projects found a way to fund each tokens using their stake in the steem ecosystem. It means, just by owning a token, you are entitled for an upvote from the origianl owner of the token. While some are providing daily revenues to the buyers of tokens in a daily basis.
There were so many creative approach that was implemented to the tokens as a benefit for holding such tokens.
Just a few days ago, the Steem Engine team announced the release of SCOT bot. It had gone through tests and now that the devs have vetted it for public use, it's now time for Communities to take this innovation and bring it to operation.
Using SCOT Bot, a community is anow able to reward their members using the Proof-of-Brain concept and distribute their own native tokens as the reward mechanism.
The community tokens are exchangeable to the Steem Engine DEX and be converted to other tokens / cryptos with value. How cools is that!
The best part is that, the community token holder is able to stake it just like how steem is converted to steem power. Basically, you can power-up the community token and level-up your influence over the community's native platform. Some of you could become a Whale in a community regardless of your status in the steem ecosystem.
