Banda Aceh, Scout of Syiah Kuala University (UNSYIAH) collaborated with Sultal Zainal Abidin University (UniSZA) Scouts’ Malaysia held a social event entitled “Asean Outreach Cooperate social responsibility Programme” in Banda Aceh, Friday (2/2/2018).
The event is the kind of cooperation between both universities through the scout program, Syiah kuala University and Sultan Zainal Abidin, it also involves Persatuan Pelajar Malaysia di Indonesia Cabang Aceh (PKPMCI)—A Malaysian student association in Aceh, Indonesia. The event is voluntary and social care activity, it would be held for a week, from February 1st to 7th 2018.
The event was officially opened by vice rector III of Syiah Kuala University, Dr. Alfiansyah Yulianur BC, also as the head of daily cluster A329-A330 of the Syiah Kuala scouts in Kompas Dormitory Hall, Unsyiah.
In his opening speech, Alfiansyah fully appreciated the event. He expected this event would be an annual event which always be held in other ASEAN countries, such as Singapore and others.
Budi Pratama, the chief of the Syiah Kuala Scout’s from the interview said that the activities or agendas that would occur during the event is social volunteer and leadership and management training. “the series of activities to be done are an orphanage social care, healthy campus and Indonesia-Malaysia Round Table Conference”. Budi said.
Likewise, the head of committee, Sri Rahmi Putri expected that the event would increase student’s interest in social activity. “hopefully it would be a trigger for student’s interest in social event. Also, developing the student’s leadership so that they could take a better option in making decision” add Sri, an economic faculty student.
