EPISODE 1 - DEEP TALES
SCENE 1 - WHOLDENHEIM
NARRATOR: (VO) It’s late summer and I’ve been sent by my editor to the lethargic village of Woldenheim. The story I’m working on is based on reports of oddly mutated fruits and vegetables being entered, anonymously, into agricultural fairs. Most likely a sophisticated hoax but worth a train fare to investigate and prove my worth as a journalist...
BROWN: Cauliflowers shaped like tea-strainers, apples with a hundred pips, carrots at odds with nature there were…
PETE: I get the idea. Could I see any of these specimens?
BROWN: Not likely. All consumed or burned at the stake.
PETE: Sta..
BROWN: Like witches.
PETE: Fine. What about the source of these phenomena? And how have they ended up, anonymously, at high-profile produce fairs?
BROWN: Not for me to say in a village like this. We have committees an’ that for this an’ that. You can find the gardening club at the allotment until dusk. They might be able to answer your questions. Down the hill, left at the big yellow orb.
PETE: Zebra crossing?
BROWN: You and your big words. Find the gardeners. See if you can make them talk.
I'm intrigued.. a seriously offbeat and curious mystery :) Consider adding an image of some kind, to help the post stand out.
Thanks! I'll try to find one. Here's the second scene: https://steemit.com/script/@tutmoses/madbinton-1-2
